CÉ LA VI Presents: THEMBA

South African DJ Themba will debut at CÉ LA VI on Saturday, 10 February, bringing his unique spin on electronic beats with sounds fashioned by his African heritage. He has graced the decks in some of the world’s most predominant nightlife hot spots including Mykonos, New York, Tulum and St. Tropez.

His work, which includes native African singers, songwriters and percussionists, is shared by many globally renowned artists and amplified in prestigious events, such as Paris Fashion Week 2019. Themba’s unique sound is forged from his African roots, incorporating local singers, songwriters and percussionists, creating his instantly identifiable take on electronic music. Following successful releases on a string of high-profile labels including Knee Deep In Sound, Saved and Yoshitoshi, his breakout release ‘Who Is Themba?’ remained in the Beatport charts for over a year.

His DJ sets at residencies in Ibiza (with long-time collaborator Black Coffee) and all across the world are acclaimed by fans and music critics from the likes of Mixmag, DJ Mag Ibiza, DJ UK, Ushuaia Magazine and Faze. This is a debut that simply cannot be missed.
