DJ Tashi, a highly acclaimed Japanese hip-hop DJ who won multiple DJ competitions in the 1990s and has worked with famous artists such as Gang Starr, NAS, 2 Live Crew, Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth, James Brown, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dog.

DJ Tashi is known for digging deep into his collection to find rare original breaks and hardcore underground U.S. hip-hop, giving his performances a unique touch. He is a member of DMC competition juries and a music producer. DJ Tashi is highly regarded by music magazines in Asia.
