LOVE DIVINE - An Evening of Sensuous Arts at CÉ LA VI
SINGAPORE, 27th May 2023 — From 26th to 27th May, the iconic CÉ LA VI Club Lounge at Marina Bay played host to a spectacular event as part of the Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) - LOVE DIVINE. An evening that seamlessly fused fine arts, music, and burlesque, it was a resounding success, bolstering CÉ LA VI's reputation and creating wonderful memories for all attendees of the night.
A Performative Feast for the Senses
The highlight of the event was the riveting performance by fine arts visionaries Daniel Kok and Luke George of “STILL LIVES”. The duo, suspended against the breathtaking sunset backdrop of the Singapore city skyline, delivered an inspiring spectacle of rope art performance. Their compelling performance, featuring influential figures including acclaimed singers Nathan Hartono and Grace Kee, enthralled over 400 attendees.
As night fell, the sensuality of the evening took a notch higher with "CHILDREN OF VENUS". This captivating burlesque act, curated and directed by the internationally recognised SUKKI, enchanted the audience with performances from the queens of Burlesque: Becca D’Bus, Francesca Harriman and Lychee Bye. Their sultry moves, accompanied by aerialist Adelene Chua, created an atmosphere of defiant solidarity and freedom of expression.
Delectable Delights Enhancing the Experience
Complementing the artistic display was CÉ LA VI's culinary expertise. Bar snacks like the vegan-friendly Parmesan Custard & Jam Brioche were served at the venue, a testament to CÉ LA VI’s adaptability to diverse event and party themes.
